What are the responsibilities and job description for the Iron Pourer position at Kirsh Foundry, Inc.?
Job Summary:
Pour molds that are made by molding machine operators and assist knock off as necessary.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper tools, jackets and weights are available as needed for pouring mold.
- Work closely with mold line operator to assure adherence to the production schedule and quality standards.
- As necessary, remove sprue from castings on shaker conveyor and sort parts into tubs by part number and sort sprue into hoppers by iron type.
- Ensure that all shop card instructions are followed.
- Help identify and prevent all incidences of high scrap.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Perform work in a safe manner in accordance with established safety guidelines.
- Initial shop card for each job produced while on shift and report any shop card questions to your supervisor.
- Maintain appropriate attendance record.
Salary : $22 - $24
