Job Description
The Memory Care Manager @ Drake Terrace directs, coordinates, and supervises care services provided by care associates for the residents within the Memory Care Department. Responsible for ensuring exemplary service is delivered with integrity, dignity, and compassion. May be responsible for medication control and coordination with physicians to ensure care and medications are delivered as directed. Responsible for the delivery of high-quality care by encouraging independence and ensuring each resident’s physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being.
This is a full-time position, Sunday-Thursday.
Starting pay: $75k-81k/yr
What will I do everyday?
- Responsible for hosting and supporting engagements in the neighborhood (not taking away from the Art of Living Well Department but further expanding)
- Responsible for training associates in our Heirloom related topics
- Responsible for identifying triggers and interventions for behavioral expressions
- Will collaborate with the Dining Department to ensure our meals are meeting standards for residents
- Responsible for hosting education and support groups for families
- Responsible for overseeing the delivery of care to residents
- Responsible for completing assessments and care plans (depending on state requirements)
- Responsible for assisting with scheduling for Care associates
- Performs other related duties as required
What will I need to be successful in this role?
- Management or supervisory experience required.
- Degree or certification in health services, social services or engagement / activities / recreation therapy; or related experience
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is preferred
- One to three years’ experience working in senior care, with experience working with persons living with dementia or related conditions or special groups, or engagement / activities / recreation therapy
Special Certifications/Requirements I may need?
- LVN/LPN/RN preferred
- CPR Certified preferred
- Basic competency in the use of multiple forms of technology, including Microsoft Officeapplications, internet-based and custom
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
