Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing inventory levels to ensure efficient stock management and avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Help coordinate the procurement process by supporting the purchasing team in placing orders and ensuring timely deliveries.
- Monitor and track shipments and deliveries to ensure they meet deadlines.
- Maintain accurate data on supply chain operations and update internal systems as required.
- Assist with the analysis of supply chain performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Communicate with suppliers and vendors to resolve any issues related to orders, shipments, or product quality.
- Support the preparation of supply chain reports and documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments such as logistics, sales, and production to ensure smooth operations across the supply chain.
- Participate in meetings with senior supply chain professionals to discuss strategies for improving efficiency.
- Support the implementation of supply chain initiatives and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Statistics, Business Analytics or a related field (or equivalent 1 year experience).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of supply chain concepts, inventory management, and logistics.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to handling challenges.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the supply chain field.
- Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with supply chain software (e.g., ERP systems) is a plus.
- Proficiency in business analytics tool (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
