Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our healthcare team. The PTA will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to help patients recover from injuries, improve mobility, and enhance their overall physical function. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to patients across various settings, including outpatient clinics, home health, skilled nursing facilities, and acute care environments.

Duties

• Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities as directed by the supervising therapist.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising therapist.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises, techniques, and home care strategies to promote recovery.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Ensure a safe and clean treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

Skills
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of the following skills:

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
• Experience in orthopedics, acute care, geriatrics, pediatrics, and inpatient settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with home health practices and protocols.
• Ability to work effectively in a skilled nursing facility.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and team members.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.

Pay: $33.00 - $36.09 per hour
