About the Role: As a vital member of the Project and Repairs team, the Project Manager will be essential in providing high-quality project management and service, primarily for our Infrastructure business and secondarily for other business units' customers. This role involves frequent customer site visits for technical project discussions, as well as on-site support for installations, inspections, and calibration.
Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Management
- Lead the planning, execution, and commissioning of strategic customer projects, establishing Kistler as a top-tier provider of systems and solutions.
- Support Customer Care and Shipping teams to ensure smooth order processing from initiation to delivery.
- Assist with pilot project management and data handling as new products and systems are introduced or upgraded.
2. Customer Support & Troubleshooting
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer support, troubleshooting, and technical coordination with external suppliers for system pilots and commercial sites, including automated flat tire detection, KiTraffic Digital Solutions, and data logging systems.
3. Collaboration & Service Delivery
- Work closely with sales teams, customers, application specialists, and Business Units to build a high-performance service operation.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, while supporting sales efforts in invoicing to sustain costs and generate revenue.
4. Strategic Growth & Customer Relationships
- Foster strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and growth within North America.
- Collaborate with the Business Unit to align project management, execution, and service delivery with strategic market objectives.
5. Subcontractor & Partner Coordination
- Oversee subcontractors and third-party partners to ensure seamless project execution.
6. Sales Support & Lead Generation
- Identify new service, system, and component opportunities and forward leads to the sales team.
7. Application Engineering
- Provide application engineering support during peak service demand or for high-priority customer needs.
8. Other Duties as Assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Systems, Automation, or a related field).
- At least 2 years of experience in technical project management, ideally with large-scale projects in transportation or construction.
- Proficient in MS Office; experience with electrical engineering and measurement technologies.
- Strong organizational, collaboration, and relationship-building abilities; confident communicator with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; travel 30-40% (domestic); valid driver’s license required.
