What are the responsibilities and job description for the Exercise Physiologist Cardiac Rehab position at Kit Carson County Health Service District?
Provides direct and indirect patient care to cardiac rehab population. As Exercise Physiologist you will assist the cardiac rehabilitation team to educate and provide exercise leadership for our patients with the goal to restore optimal functional activity. While in this position you will gather exercise data and implement specialized strength and conditioning programs for patients under the direction of the cardiac rehab nurse. Communicates with physicians/Nurse Manager/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or related field from an accredited university or college, Master’s Preferred. Previous Cardiopulmonary Rehab or other clinical experience, preferred. 12 Lead ECG competency, preferred or within 90 days. American Heart Association for BLS certification required; ACLS from the American Heart Association preferred. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English; strong written and verbal skills; basic computer knowledge.
