Minimum Qualifications:
- Applied Science degree from a school or college approved by the American Physical Therapy Association in Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Current certification in physical Therapy Assistant in the State of Colorado
- BCLS (CPR) certification.
- Ability to read communicate effectively in English.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in OP, IP, SB, HH practice or 1-2 clinical in those populations.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for administration of physical therapy treatment and modalities to patients as directed by the licensed PT.
- Assists with restoration of patient functioning to prevent disability following injury or disease.
- Instructs, motivates, and assists patients to learn and improve functional activities such as pre-ambulation, transfer techniques, ambulation, and daily-living activities.
- Assists with performance improvement activities within the department and participates in quality calendar and improvement initiatives as directed by the rehab manager.
