Minimum Qualifications:
- Current state Registered Nurse Licensure.
- ACLS, PALS, TNCC, STABLE and BLS certification.
Responsibilities:
- Provides professional nursing care to the Medical Surgical, and Emergency room departments.
- Assists physicians during treatments and examinations of patients.
- Administers medications per physician order.
- Performs other therapeutic measures either per physician order or as an independent nursing function.
- Observes, records and reports as appropriate the symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients.
- Provides patient education on illness management, disease prevention, and health promotion.
- Communicates with physicians, Mid-level Providers, Nurse Manager, co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
- Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
- Able to perform general nursing duties in all nursing departments with adequate supervision.
- Able to respond to on-call situations and is expected to be available for on-call schedules. If requested, must be willing to take low census.
