Kitchen Cabinet Distributors (KCD), based in Raleigh, is one of the country’s fastest-growing distributors of wood cabinetry products. Position Overview:
The accounts payable associate will be a key player of the finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a high-level of attention to detail, curiosity, initiative, and a results-oriented mind-set. The individual in this position will be responsible for accounts payable and expense reports, and various period-end close tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive and review invoices, ensuring they are coded correctly and approved in a timely manner.
- Ensure proper expense cut at month-end including completeness of accounts payable accrual.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable ledgers.
- Ensure that payments are posted to vendor accounts accurately and timely.
- Reconciles and submits annual 1099s per IRS deadlines.
- Assist in period end closings.
- Assist and provide documentation for annual external audit.
- Respond to inquiries regarding payments and discrepancies while maintaining positive relationships.
- Assist with the processing of expense reports, ensuring they are properly documented and approved.
- Effectively manage time in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and (GAAP).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle confidential situations professionally.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment across functional areas.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially leveraging Excel.
- Experience with NetSuite and Concur preferred.
