Position Summary
As a vital member of our kitchen team, the Kitchen Employee is responsible for assisting in the preparation of high-quality food in our fast-casual restaurant setting. This role involves a range of tasks including food prep, cooking, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and adhering to health and safety standards. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Cooking - Assist in the preparation of food items according to restaurant recipes and standards. Ensure ingredients are prepped and ready for use to streamline the cooking process. Cook and assemble dishes with speed and precision. Monitor food quality and presentation before sending to the front of house.
Kitchen Maintenance - Maintain a clean and organized kitchen. Wash dishes, sanitize surfaces, and ensure all equipment is clean and in good working order.
Health & Safety Compliance - Adhere to all health codes and regulations related to food handling and preparation. Ensure proper food storage and waste disposal practices are followed.
Inventory Management - Report low stock levels to the General Manager or Keyholder. Help receive and organize deliveries with attention to proper food storage principles.
Team Collaboration - Work closely with other kitchen staff and front of house employees to ensure a seamless dining experience for customers. Communicate effectively to address any issues or changes in orders.
Team collaboration is assessed through random Awareness Inspections performed on your location
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
