Job Summary
Work for a world class kitchen operation serving baseball teams! Under the direction of the Executive and Sous Chefs, this position will be responsible for the preparation, cooking and serving of the performance food service operation for the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team in Port Charlotte, FL. This cook position will work on-site at the Tampa Bay Rays Player Development Complex in Port Charlotte. This role will be customer-facing, preparing made to order omelets. This position will also make deliveries using a company-provided vehicle.
Starting at $22 / hour, based on experience benefits package
Key Responsibilities :
Both hot line and cold line cooking and preparation (May be working grill, prep, a la carte production, etc.)
Uphold the integrity and standards of all the products
Maintain sanitation, cleanliness, and organization of kitchen at all times
Provide "Best in Class" hospitality for our high-profile client
Prepare made to order omelets
Make deliveries as needed
Requirements :
Self-motivated and passionate about cooking
Strong creativity and interest in building healthy meals with lots of flavor
Ability to follow recipes and adjust recipes as needed
Professional demeanor, and a service-first attitude
Excellent knowledge of kitchen equipment, safe sanitary practices, and culinary skills
Strong organization skills
At least 1 year experience cooking in a professional kitchen
Valid driver's license
Ideal Candidates :
Experience in batch cooking
Looking for morning to afternoon cooking shifts
Bilingual (English / Spanish)
Work Requirements :
Ability to perform the physical demands : On your feet for several hours at a time, ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push a cart up to 200 pounds, withstand high temperature conditions, bend, kneel, and stoop
Ability to work non-standard work week, including early mornings, weekends (we have no night shifts!)
ServSafe Food Handlers or Manager Card
Must be willing to submit to a background check
Valid driver's license
