JOB SUMMARY :
This position will be responsible for food preparation, menu execution, and delivering our Hospitality Promise of the Best Food, Best Service, and Best Hospitality for the performance food catering operations for the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team in St. Louis, Missouri.
Seasonal Position (full-time hours overtime)- Mid-March 2025 through end of September 2025
Schedule follows St. Louis Cardinals home game schedule
Starting at $20 / hour, based on experience
Return for the 2026 season! Mid-March through end of September 2026
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Cross-train and work all stations : food prep, grab / go prep, and a la carte production
Receive and store grocery orders (must be able to lift up to 50#)
Uphold the integrity and standards of all the products
Maintain sanitation, cleanliness, and organization of kitchen at all times
Provide professional service and great hospitality to all guests to include players, coaches, executives and team support staff
QUALIFICATIONS :
3 years’ experience in food service, food safety, and customer service
Experience cooking multiple types of cuisine
Experience in batch cooking and cooking for a hot line
ServSafe or Food Handlers certification
Ability to work and present well in an open kitchen environment
Ability to work successfully alone and on a small team
Excellent knowledge of kitchen equipment, safe sanitary practices, and general culinary skills including : knife cuts, basic cooking techniques, proper food handling and storage
Ability to follow recipes as needed as well as being able to produce without recipes
Willingness to help others and a desire to learn
Adaptable, ability to work successfully under changing circumstances
Confidence in the work you do, professional demeanor, and a service first attitude are a must
Perform the physical demands – Remain on your feet for several hours at a time, ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, withstand high temperature conditions, bend, kneel, and stoop
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
A working knowledge of baseball is helpful
Spanish fluency is a plus
WORK SCHEDULE :
Ability to work non-standard schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays as needed
Your schedule will be built around the 2025 St. Louis Cardinals home game schedule
Your schedule will include working every home game prep days
Approximate shift times-
10 : 00am-10 : 00pm for night games
6 : 00am-6 : 00pm for day games
Seasonal role through end of September (will extend into October if Cardinals make the playoffs)
Return for the 2026 season! Mid-March 2026 through end of September 2026
