Job Description
This full-time position is responsible for managing cash and accounts payable functions under the direction of the Director of the regional library system. The successful candidate will work closely with the system director and administrative assistant to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare all financial statements, reports statistics, pay bills, and prepare preliminary data for the annual budget.
- Responsible for cash management and accounts payable functions.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and provide information as required by the director.
- Cooperate with and supply necessary data to the auditor and any outside consultants.
- Compile statistics and complete reports as required.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years bookkeeping experience and accounting software experience required.
- Two years of college preferred; additional bookkeeping/accounting classes on a college level are desirable.
- Experience as a full-charge bookkeeper is desirable but not required.
- Knowledge of Sage accounting software is desirable.
- Knowledge of government fund accounting is an asset.
