We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Project Manager, Development Services to join our team in Indianapolis, IN Corporate Headquarters. This position will manage Kite Realty development projects and is accountable for the design management, planning, permitting, organization, scheduling, and overall budgeting of new retail developments, outparcel developments, and/or small-scale renovation projects. This position will also manage the coordination of many aspects of multiple projects and managing the activities of engineers, architects, and other design consultants. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Site and Building Design.
- Develop and manage Soft Cost budget
- Prepare and manage the development schedule and work with the internal and external stakeholders to track the project to completion.
- Hire and manage outside consultants directly engaged in the projects.
- Work with tenants and tenant representatives through design phase of project
- Mange the Entitlements and permitting phases of the projects.
- Understand and manage the accounting, contracts, and administration of the projects.
- Work with team members to achieve stated corporate goals.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of permitting and dealing with municipalities is required.
- Experience with or ability to understand the permitting process on a multi-state program at the same time.
- Ability to manage a team of external consultants during the due diligence, entitlements, design and permitting process
- Experience dealing with retailers’ or customers’ design and construction teams.
- Knowledge of building codes and commercial construction.
- Ability to create and track design and permitting budgets
- Ability to create and track permitting and design schedules.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external team members
- Civil Engineer or architecture background is required.
