Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Chiropractic Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the chiropractic practice by managing front desk operations, assisting with patient care, and ensuring smooth administrative processes. Level 1 Duties 16.28/hr to 16.50/hr
- Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Manage front desk operations including answering phone calls and responding to inquiries.
- Schedule appointments efficiently using chiropractic scheduling systems.
- Learn the basics of verifying insurance information and assist patients with understanding their coverage.
- Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Utilize electronic health record systems for managing patient information.
- Support the chiropractic team with administrative tasks as needed, including filing and data entry.
- Ensure the front office is organized and welcoming for patients.
Level 2 Duties (must show proficiency in level 1 skills without assistance) 16.50/hr to 17.00/hr
- Provide education and marketing of services to patients.
- Undertake patient recalls and correspondence
- Assist Doctor in one-on-one time with patients (i.e.: helping with intake, beginning examinations, taking x-rays when x-ray training is available, showing patients prescribed exercises.)
- Show willingness to go above and beyond to aid patients and the clinic.
- May require flexibility with working hours.
Level 3 Duties (must show proficiency in level 1 and 2 skills without assistance)17.00/hr to 20.00/hr
- Maintain inventory and ordering supplies.
- Acquires and maintains license for chiropractic x-ray technician.
- Assists Doctors with patient management.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a front desk or medical administrative support role is preferred.
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding and insurance verification processes is a plus.
- Proficient in using phone systems and other office equipment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
