Job Summary
The IT Specialist is responsible for providing helpdesk support maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading computer and software systems, network equipment, and the agency phone system. This includes addressing hardware and software issues, ensuring the integrity of voice, data, and wireless services, and supporting end-users both in-person and remotely. The role involves installation, repair, training, and documentation, while also managing agency devices, cellular accounts, and security systems. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and customer service skills are essential, alongside a working knowledge of operating systems, software, and network management tools. A proactive approach to identifying and resolving IT issues as well as strong communication skills are essential for the success in this role.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Required Education: H.S. Diploma
- Preferred Education: B.A./ B.S. in IT Related field (i.e. Computer Science, IT, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Network or Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.)
- Required Experience: 2 years' experience in IT, professional network, or server management
- Preferred: Demonstrated Successful professional experience in a technical and/or mechanical position.
- Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Enterprise and on-premises management, firewalls, network switches, servers, MS Entra/365, Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, Windows Server and 10/11, PowerShell

- Ability to pass State and/or Federal Background Checks as determined by position (prior to hire date).
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Essential Physical and Mental Functions
- Position requires intermittent sitting, standing, walking, twisting, and bending for extended periods.

Responsibilities- Included but are not limited to:
- Support and maintain KCR networks to ensure and maintain stability and integrity, and timely response to issues.
- Coordination with various staff and management to promote uninterrupted service delivery.
- Provide and support preventative maintenance and report on system needs and planning.
- Ensure compliance with KCR Polices & Procedures for appropriate use of agency technology through proactive approaches and regular monitoring.
- Assess agency and individual program technology needs and provide appropriate support including researching technology-based solutions or recommending the purchase necessary equipment.
- Maintain recordkeeping and reporting systems to ensure accurate information, with timely completion and follow up.
- Gather and maintain data on all KCR devices and systems.
- Operates a wide variety of handheld power and manual tools both indoors and outside.
- Deliver and provide support to end users on various software and hardware required for efficient agency operations.
- Assess, diagnose, and recommend technical solutions for a wide array of equipment and software applications, seeking guidance from leadership and coordinating implementation to promote smooth adoption and operation.
- Assist in the development and implementation of training programs around appropriate technology-based topics. Includes, tracking completed training, facilitating training, maintaining records and enrollments.
- Remain up to date on current technology trends and potential avenues for the agency to provide the best service possible to the community.
- Coordinate with other departments and divisions to establish necessary systems for IT on-boarding, off-boarding, or supporting all KCR teams.
- Assist in the planning, preparation, and facilitation of presentations to a wide variety of audiences
