About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Equipment Repair Technician to join our team at Kitsap County, WA. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and major overhauls on equipment associated with wastewater treatment plants and lift stations.
The ideal candidate will have three years of experience as a maintenance mechanic, performing welding, fabrication, maintenance, and repair of equipment and pumps, or related work. Experience as a maintenance mechanic at a wastewater treatment or water treatment plant is highly desirable.
- Operate electric and hydraulic crane trucks, shop trucks, portable generators, pumps, and hand and power tools
- Perform general maintenance on tools and smaller equipment
- Operate milling machines, lathes, drill presses, MIG/TIC welding equipment, and plasma cutters
This position is eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is considered an 'essential employee' during inclement weather events or emergencies.
