Job Requirements
Kitsap County, WA is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our Public Works Department, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and major overhauls on equipment associated with wastewater treatment plants and lift stations.
The ideal candidate will have three years of experience as a maintenance mechanic, performing welding, fabrication, maintenance, and repair of equipment and pumps, or related work. Experience as a maintenance mechanic at a wastewater treatment or water treatment plant is highly desirable.
- Operate heavy equipment, including backhoes, pavers, dozers, and graders
- Perform manual labor under uncomfortable or adverse conditions
This position is subject to call-out during non-working hours and may involve working in confined spaces.
