About The Role
Kitsap Credit Union is hiring a full-time Business Banking Development Manager to work in-person at our Harborside location in Bremerton, WA. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Banking Development Manager to join our team. This role is centered on true business prospecting, with the primary responsibility of acquiring new business members that demonstrate the potential for substantial deposit growth and lending needs within the credit union’s identified target industries, while ensuring compliance with Kitsap Credit Union’s policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will excel at building relationships with centers of influence (COIs), actively engaging in networking events, and leveraging their strong sales background to deliver exceptional results.
In this role, 80% of your time will be dedicated to prospecting and business development activities, with the remaining 20% focused on administrative and planning duties. You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless transition of relationships after initial acquisition.

Principal Accountabilities
Reports to: Vice President of Sales
Employment Type: Full-time, hourly, non-exempt, in-person
Salary Range: $75,465.79 - $105,000 depending on experience
Bonus Target: 7% potential incentive of base pay yearly / as well as eligible for quarterly incentives
Working Hours: Typical hours: Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM (However, occasional evening or weekend hours will be required to attend networking events, prospect meetings, or community engagements.)

Principal Accountabilities
- Proactively identify, pursue, and acquire new business members, generating profitable business deposits, loans, and ancillary services, ensuring achievement of assigned goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with COIs, such as CPAs, attorneys, and industry leaders, to enhance referral opportunities.
- Represent the organization at networking events, trade shows, and community functions to build visibility and generate leads.
- Effectively communicate the value of our business banking products and services to prospects, focusing on long-term partnerships.
- Conduct business development activities primarily independently, while sometimes partnering with merchant services representatives, investment advisors, treasury, and commercial lenders, to identify and develop business opportunities.
- Work closely with Business Services Specialists to transition acquired accounts for onboarding, account management, and relationship management.
- Manage the longer sales cycle associated with business member acquisition, ensuring consistent follow-up and engagement with leads.
- Maintain organized records of prospects, activities, and progress using CRM tools.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align sales efforts with organizational goals and enhance customer experience.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, lead generation, and business development activities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with prospects, COIs, and internal teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present professionally and persuasively.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage a longer sales cycle effectively.

- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
- B2B and B2C sales experience.

- Credit Union or banking experience.
- Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPI’s.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales & Marketing, or comparable, or equivalent experience, required
