Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) is hiring a Clinical Supervisor to provide leadership to an Adult Outpatient Care Team, ensuring high-quality behavioral health services for individuals experiencing mental health disorders, including co-occurring substance use disorders. This role is responsible for overseeing clinicians, facilitating treatment planning, and ensuring compliance with agency and regulatory standards. Primary Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the daily clinical operations of the care team, ensuring appropriate staff coverage and timely service delivery. Lead treatment planning meetings and provide supervision to clinical staff.
- Support and monitor staff performance through chart reviews, electronic medical record reports, and individual feedback sessions.
- Implement integrated treatment models for clients with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders, collaborating with Pathways KMHS SUD professionals and Pacific Hope and Recovery Center.
- Ensure treatment plans address mental health, substance use, physical health, housing, and vocational needs. Maintain continuity of care for clients transitioning between teams or external providers.
- Participate in staff recruitment, hiring, orientation, training, and performance supervision. Conduct performance appraisals and support staff development through mentorship and coaching.
- Assist clinicians in coordinating client care with other agency programs, community resources, and partner organizations to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Work closely with KMHS Medication Services to monitor medication adherence and coordination of psychiatric care.
- Collaborate with the Housing Director and other housing programs to assist clients in securing appropriate living arrangements.
- Participate in program development, quality assurance initiatives, and interdepartmental collaboration to enhance care delivery.
- Engage with external community organizations, law enforcement, advocacy groups, and family members to improve client outcomes and strengthen partnerships.
- Provide crisis intervention support, including screening clients for acute risk and assisting with safety planning.
- Foster a supportive and professional team environment, encouraging staff development and cross-system collaboration.
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in Psychology, social services, or behavioral health.
EXPERIENCE: Specialist (minimum 5 years of job-related experience)
This position requires driving clients in a personal vehicle on behalf of the agency; therefore, the incumbent must meet agency driving requirements, including meeting the minimum age requirement of 21 years old, successfully completing a motor vehicle history check, possessing and maintaining a current, valid driver's license in the state of Washington, and having reliable, insured transportation.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION: Must meet and maintain the definition of a Mental Health Professional as defined in RCW 71.05.020.
Preferred Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE: Expert (established subject matter expert, 7 years of experience)
Experience in co-occurring disorders treatment, individual and group therapy, or substance abuse treatment. Two years supervisory experience preferred.
LICENSURE: Washington License (LICSW, LMFT or LMHC).

Mental/Physical Requirements: While performing the job duties, the employee is required to walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, talk, or listen. Peripheral vision is also required for this position.
