Child & Family School Programs Madrona Day Treatment 
 
Hiring Range: This position has a compensation range that spans the salary threshold for Washington State, which means that this position may be classified as either non-exempt (hourly) or exempt (salaried), depending on the candidate’s qualifications, including education, experience, and other relevant factors.
Non-Exempt (Hourly): $35.79 - $37.49 per hour
Exempt (Salaried): $77,968.80 - $93,038.40 per year

Kitsap Mental Health Services is seeking a Clinical Supervisor for its Madrona Day Treatment program. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the classrooms, ensuring that program goals are established and met, providing appropriate levels of services to consumers, and facilitating continuity of care. The Clinical Supervisor assumes primary clinical responsibility for the provision of services and supervision of program staff.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive plans for Madrona Day Treatment, overseeing the formulation of program goals, clarifying the theoretical framework guiding treatment, and establishing criteria for program admission.
  • Facilitate the ongoing development and implementation of the program schedule, ensuring that programs meet the emotional, developmental, and educational needs of consumers. Ensure appropriate staffing levels to carry out program activities.
  • Ensure the provision of individual, family, and/or group therapy services, guaranteeing that all consumers have access to ongoing, coordinated behavioral health services.
  • Provide clinical direction and supervision for program staff.
  • Maintain positive staff morale and teamwork by offering training, team-building activities, and other initiatives that contribute to a supportive and therapeutic environment. Address personnel issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate with other KMHS C&F program staff and school district personnel in triaging program referrals.
  • Provide in-program coverage to ensure appropriate staffing levels or supervision and maintenance of Madrona Day Treatment activities. Offer backup crisis intervention/emergency support to the program and staff.
  • Develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with KMHS programs, school district personnel, and other public or private agencies to provide essential care for consumers and further the agency's mission and goals.
  • Ensure the provision of reports to agency administrators, county, state, or federal authorities as required. Monitor contract adherence. Ensure all necessary clinical, financial, and statistical paperwork is completed accurately and promptly, including annual performance reviews for program staff.
  • Provide consultation, education, and/or training as needed to KMHS staff, school personnel, or others regarding Madrona Day Treatment, clinical issues related to emotionally troubled youth and families, or continuity of care for consumers.
  • Assume primary responsibility for developing annual budget requirements for Madrona Day Treatment, and monitor and maintain a balanced budget.
  • Participate in meetings/committees within KMHS and in the community as needed.
  • Recruit, hire, and develop qualified staff, including ongoing coaching and conducting performance appraisals.
  
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in Psychology, social services, or behavioral health.
EXPERIENCE: Specialist (minimum 5 years of job-related experience)
This position requires driving clients in a personal vehicle on behalf of the agency; therefore, the incumbent must meet agency driving requirements, including meeting the minimum age requirement of 21 years old, successfully completing a motor vehicle history check, possessing and maintaining a current, valid driver's license in the state of Washington, and having reliable, insured transportation.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION: Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration. Must meet and maintain the definition of a Mental Health Professional as defined in RCW 71.05.020. Child Mental Health Specialist. Food handler’s Permit 
 
Preferred Qualifications: 
EXPERIENCE: Expert (established subject matter expert, 7 years of experience)
Experience in co-occurring disorders treatment, individual and group therapy, or substance abuse treatment. Experience with administration and program development. At least two years of previous experience as a supervisor.
LICENSURE: Washington License (LICSW, LMFT or LMHC).

  • Maintain a working knowledge of current trends in community mental health, including health care reform and automation of job tasks using computer technology.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of mental health rehabilitation standards.
  • Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practices

  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other employees, clients, organizations, and the public.
  • Communication - Communicates clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated experience working with youth with complex mental health needs.
  • Capacity to effectively manage a team.
  • Demonstrated experience providing direct service to individuals living in poverty with complex needs.
  • Ability to communicate quickly and effectively in high acuity situations.
  • Demonstrated experience working with partner agencies toward a shared goal.

Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
  
Work Environment: Frequent mobility and/or sitting required for extended periods.
  
Mental/Physical Requirements:  While performing the job duties, the employee is required to walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, talk, or listen.  Peripheral vision is also required for this position.
