Housing Support Specialist II – Clinical Housing
Hiring Range: $24.94 - $30.55

Join us as a Housing Support Specialist and make a meaningful impact by providing education, support, and assistance to mental health clients in our housing program. Be part of a dynamic team that promotes recovery and helps individuals achieve the highest level of independent functioning.
 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate in implementing agency treatment philosophy and program goals, fostering a therapeutic environment that supports skills development and transportation as needed.
  • Build positive relationships with clients in the housing program, creating a supportive and empowering atmosphere.
  • Perform FCS assessments and recertifications, develop individualized person-centered client goals, and support education, training, coaching, dispute resolution, and advocacy.
  • Learn and implement the PSH Fidelity model to enhance housing support.
  • Assist clients in acquiring and enhancing various life skills, such as cooking, cleaning, money management, symptom management, and social interaction.
  • Provide structure and guidance tailored to each client's needs, including helping with housework schedules, organizing group shopping trips, or offering prompts for specific tasks.
  • Encourage the development, monitoring, and achievement of housing-related goals.
  • Maintain communication with Crisis Response Team, housing team, and clinical team, reporting observations of client mental status, conditions posing risk, and changes in client stability.
  • Offer early identification and intervention for behaviors that may jeopardize housing stability.
  • Take appropriate action when clients are missing, ill, injured, or facing psychiatric challenges.
  • Document unusual events on incident reports and collaborate with agency personnel on required actions.
  • Contribute to transitional planning for clients moving independent living situations.


Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, social services, or behavioral health field OR Four or more year’s relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

This position requires driving clients in a personal vehicle on behalf of the agency; therefore, the incumbent must meet agency driving requirements, including meeting the minimum age requirement of 21 years old, successfully completing a motor vehicle history check, possessing and maintaining a current, valid driver's license in the state of Washington, and having reliable, insured transportation.

LICENSURE: Eligibility for Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration.
