Hiring Range: $29.58 - $36.97 Per Hour

Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) is seeking a dedicated Therapist to join our Young Adult Transition Team (YATT). As part of our committed team, you will provide therapy services, independent living skills training, and support to young adults preparing to engage in independent living or transitioning to adult mental health services.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide face-to-face individual and group therapy to young adults in the YATT program.
- Conduct phone and face-to-face care coordination, independent living skill building, and individual therapy for youth in the community or office setting.
- Collaborate with schools, medical professionals, case workers, probation officers, and other community resources to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in developing individual treatment plans for YATT participants and maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Conduct group services/classes on topics related to independent living and transitioning to adult services.
- Collaborate with YATT, Child and Family team members, and community partners for comprehensive care.
- Contribute constructively to team meetings, clinical consultations, Child & Family team meetings, and other required meetings.
- Function as a supportive member of the team and participate in problem-solving to promote a teamwork atmosphere.
- Participate in program development and implementation.
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in Psychology, social services, or behavioral health.
EXPERIENCE: Experienced (minimum 2 years of job-related experience)
This position requires driving clients in a personal vehicle on behalf of the agency; therefore, the incumbent must meet agency driving requirements, including meeting the minimum age requirement of 21 years old, successfully completing a motor vehicle history check, possessing and maintaining a current, valid driver's license in the state of Washington, and having reliable, insured transportation.
Capacity to work well with children and families.
LICENSURE: Eligibility to receive an Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration.
Preferred Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE: Experience in co-occurring disorders treatment, individual and group therapy, vocational services, or substance abuse treatment.
Two years’ experience working with children and adolescents, some experience with youth transitioning to independent living.
