Kitson & Partners, developers of Babcock Ranch, America’s first solar-powered town, has an exceptional opportunity for experienced Water Treatment Operators.
These positions are responsible for the operation of the water treatment plant to ensure proper operation and compliance with all regulatory permits, from the customer’s connection to the ultimate disposal of reclaimed water. The positions will prepare monthly, quarterly and annual regulatory compliance reports. Preventive, Predictive and corrective maintenance of the treatment plants and instruments used to operate the treatment process as well as the distribution and collection system as requested.
Our regular hours are Monday-Sunday 7:00 a.m. - 4:00p.m. with two consecutive days off. Must be able to work flexible shifts, overtime as needed, evenings, weekends and some holidays as well as be on call duty on a rotating schedule.

Responsibilities:
· Implement prudent operating and maintenance techniques for the operation and maintenance of a the water treatment plant.
· Operate, maintain and troubleshoot pumps, motors, meters analyzers and related machinery and electrical equipment.
· Tests to monitor water quality including color, hardness, turbidity, coliform densities, etc., as per the F.A.C code.
· Lab tests (analysis) of water quality parameters for shift surveillance
· Implement all prudent safety practices
· Regular timely in person attendance is required
· Preparation of operating reports
· Position requires the employee to be on-call as scheduled, meaning available to respond to utility anomalies and emergencies 24/7 and may be required to work weekends, holidays and as well as day, evening and night shifts as determined by the Utility Director
· Other duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities:
· Strong working knowledge of water treatment plant operations
· Ability to use MS word and Excel
· Maintenance knowledge of water utility equipment
Educations and/or Experience:
· High school diploma
· Licensed drinking water treatment plant operator in the State of Florida with at least a C license, B or A preferred
· Operation of Nano-filtration water treatment preferred
· Minimum of five (2) years of work experience in treatment plants
