Summary
The primary role of the Complex Needs Life Enrichment Coach (LEC) is to encourage personal growth through goal-based support as well as providing daily living support to KIM clients in their home and in the community. LEC’s will strive to motivate and encourage clients toward their goals, reflecting the Residential Service Guidelines. The pay range is $18.50 - $19.50 per hour. KIM is looking for qualified candidates to fill the following shifts Monday-Friday : 4pm-12am
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Acknowledge and advocate for the needs, wants, and rights of clients with dignity and respect.
Teach useful emotional and behavioral regulation techniques.
Identify areas of change that clients on their caseload would like to achieve.
Collaborate with clients to develop action plans that center on the actualization of their stated ambitions.
Evaluate clients’ advancement toward goal actualization.
Encourage continued and sustainable progress.
Evaluate clients’ advancement toward goal actualization.
Help clients achieve goals by suggesting different actions necessary to take control of future plans.
Coordinate individualized programs for clients and document activity thoroughly.
Assist with client money management such as petty cash, receipts, checkbook and EBT’s.
Supervise clients to ensure adequate safety.
Keep all hazardous materials, medications, etc. in the designated secured location.
Implement a safe and clean environment in which our clients live.
Report promptly instances of injuries, behaviors, abuse, and safety hazards, etc. to management, following the Chain of Command.
Ensure adequate health care for each client.
Education and Experience
Minimum age of 18 years.
Current criminal background check cleared by DSHS before working alone unsupervised with the clients.
Valid driver’s license or Washington State ID.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Ability to follow instructions, organize and set priorities, and the ability to work well with other staff and clients, exhibit job-related competency and ability to make independent judgments.
Intermediate experience supporting developmentally disabled adults.
