Job Description
The behavioral health care manager is a core member of the collaborative care team, including the patient’s medical provider and psychiatric consultant, as well as the larger primary care team or medical team. The behavioral health care manager is responsible for supporting and coordinating the mental and physical health care of patients on an assigned patient caseload with the patient’s medical provider and, when appropriate, other mental health providers.
Qualifications
What is required...
One of the following licenses;
- Licensed Social Worker (LCSW): Possesses a master’s or doctor’s degree in social work; is licensed or certified as a clinical social worker by Washington State; After obtaining the degree has performed at least 2 years of supervised clinical social work
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC): Possesses a master’s or doctor’s degree which qualifies for licensure or certification as a mental health counselor, clinical professional counselor or professional counselor under Washington State law; is licensed or certified as a mental health counselor, clinical professional counselor, or professional counselor by Washington State; after obtaining such degree has performed at least 2 years of clinical supervised experience in mental health counseling OR 3000 hours of post master’s degree supervised clinical experience
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT): Possesses a master’s or doctor’s degree which qualifies for certification as a MFT pursuant to Washington State law; is licensed or certified as a MFT by Washington State; after obtaining such degree has performed at least 2 years of clinical supervised experience in marriage and family therapy or 3000 hours of post master’s degree supervised clinical experience
What is preferred...
- Previous experience working in a Collaborative Care Model
- Certification in EMDR through the EMDR International Association
Additional Information
Wage: Wage range currently starts at $35.08/hour and goes up to $53.16/hour. Actual wage will be based on years' of applicable experience.
FTE: 1.0 = 40 hours/week
