Job Description
The Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible for procedures necessary to support the provider to whom they are assigned with the goal of providing excellent patient care in the patient’s place of residence. The patient’s place of residence may be their home, a skilled nursing facility, an assisted living facility or group home. Daily tasks include obtaining vital signs, obtaining lab specimens, administering injections and medications, verifying and updating patient medical records for completeness, refilling medications, notifying patients or their caregiver of test results, and other assigned duties within the MA scope of practice.
Qualifications
What is required...
- Graduate of an accredited Certified Medical Assistant program & currently licensed in the State of Washington.
- Current BLS card for Healthcare Provider (maintenance required)
- Previous exposure to an Electronic Medical Records system
- Current Washington State Driver’s license
- Valid automobile insurance (minimum of liability coverage)
- Must have access to reliable transportation to patient homes
What is preferred...
- Certified as Bilingual; English/Spanish
- Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant
Additional Information
Wage: Wage range starts at $21.28/hour and goes up to $32.25/hour. Actual wage will be based on years' of applicable experience.
Schedule: Primarily Monday through Friday, 7am-5pm
