Overview:
Renovo Prosthodontics is dedicated to providing exceptional patient-centered dental care in a warm and professional environment. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in Salt Lake City. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our dental professionals and ensuring smooth, efficient operations. You will assist with patient care, manage dental records, and maintain a sterile environment while demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills. Your contributions will help create a welcoming atmosphere for our patients and uphold the high standards of Renovo Prosthodontics.
Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing all necessary instruments and materials
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient visit, adhering to infection control protocols
- Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate with both patients and the dental team
- Perform tasks related to general dentistry, including taking X-rays, impressions, and assisting with 3D scanning when required
- Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control standards throughout the practice
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient follow-ups, and maintain an organized filing system for medical documentation
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-operative care as directed by the dentist
- Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient care and improve office efficiency
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory
- Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and medical coding is highly desirable
- Proficiency in using dental systems for managing medical records is advantageous
- Experience with is a plus but not required; training will be provided as necessary
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this position
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
