Job Summary:
The role of a Medical Laboratory Manager involves overseeing the operations of a medical laboratory, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining high-quality testing procedures. This position requires effective management of laboratory staff, coordination of workflow, and implementation of new technologies to enhance laboratory efficiency. Additionally, the manager is responsible for budget management, inventory control, and fostering a safe working environment while ensuring accurate and timely reporting of laboratory results. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for collaborating with healthcare professionals and addressing any issues that may arise within the laboratory setting.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Proficiently be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Expertise in laboratory operations and management.
- Proficient in quality control and regulatory compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related field.
- Certification for MLT or MLS.
- Certification for ASCP or AMT.
- 3 – 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- 1 years of leadership experience.
- Knowledge of laboratory regulations and quality control standards.
- Must pass MN background check and fingerprinting
- Complete TB test within the first 4 weeks of employment.
Job Schedule/Location(s):
- Hallock, MN, Karlstad, MN
- Full-time
- Monday thru Friday 8- 10 hour shift with potential of one weekend per month & one night on call per week
- Holiday rotation
