JOB SUMMARY:
The Staff Accountant position entails managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and the preparation of tax documents. The staff accountant will collaborate with other departments to support financial decision-making and maintain accurate financial data. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills are essential for success in this position.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Proficiently be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with both patients and healthcare professionals.
- Proficient in Microsoft suits, specifically Microsoft Excel, ADP and finance broker system.
- Knowledge of finance, accounting and cost accounting.
- Knowledge of healthcare accounting and financial processes.
- Ability to effectively calculate large numbers with accuracy and efficiency.
- Must be able to work independently and be able to work effectively as a team member.
- Must be able to work with frequent interruptions, maintaining a high degree of concentration.
- Effective time management of own time and of others.
- Possess problem solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Passion for establishing and ensuring financial gain within the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or related field (nice to have)
- 1-2 years general healthcare accounting and financial experience.
- 3-5 years general healthcare accounting and financial experience (nice to have).
- Experience in Lawson ERP software (nice to have)
- Current MN CPA license (nice to have).
- Must pass MN background check and fingerprinting.
- Complete TB test within the first 3 weeks of employment.
