Since 2023, Kittytropolis Cat Sitting Specialists has been the Northshore's premiere cat care provider. We are looking for cat sitters to join our team. Put your skills with animals to work in a supportive, culture-forward company that cares about you.

We are committed to delivering the highest standards of premier in-their-home cat care, which means we need amazing folks for Team Kittytropolis! We care for the most awesome, hilarious, and fantastic cats on the Northshore, right in the pet’s home. We do exceptional work for our exceptional clients!

Duties include:

• Traveling to a client's home to perform pet care-related tasks.
• Feeding, caring for, cleaning up after, and administering medications for cats of all kinds, ages, and breeds.
• Scoop, clean, and maintain litter boxes.
• Spend quality time with cats, engaging in play and affection based on their comfort levels.
• Monitor the cats’ health and behavior, reporting any concerns to the client.
• Perform basic housekeeping tasks such as cleaning up after feedings and disposing of litter waste.
• Provide regular updates to clients, including photos and written reports after each visit.
• Maintain professionalism and respect clients’ homes and privacy.
• We service Mandeville, Covington, Madisonville and Abita Springs.

We’re looking for someone who:​​​

• Has professional or volunteer experience with pets, but especially has experience reading cat body language and cat behavior outside of owning their own pet.
• Must be interested and able to "deep dive" to learn more. Experience working around a variety of pets and personality types preferred.
• If you are interested in weekday cat care, we would prefer someone consistently available Monday to Friday from 9am to 2pm.
• If you are interested in weekend cat sitting, we would prefer someone consistently available on Saturday and Sunday.
• Attitude is more important than aptitude. So, if you are willing to learn, we are willing to train.
• This is an active, independent role, that requires a lot of driving. If you have reliable transportation and are comfortable traveling up to 30 minutes for visits and enjoy that working environment, you can thrive here.
• If you have the ability to react quickly, solve problems by thinking on your feet then we encourage you to apply.

We offer: $12-15 / hour (depending upon experience, bonuses, and gratuity)

• This job is designed to be part-time and is a great source of supplemental income for someone with a flexible schedule! There are no guaranteed hours for this position, and you will likely not receive hours every week.
