Job Summary
As a Senior Manager Accounting at KSS, your primary responsibility will be to assist the VP, Accounting and SR. Director of Warehouse/Logistics in managing and overseeing the financial operations of the organization. To be successful in this role, the individual must be organized, a clear communicator, and comfortable making informed decisions to move the team forward.
- You have led accounting operations at a fast-paced and highly integrated organization in distribution/wholesale industry.
- You are a team player, don’t care about rolling your sleeves up and work collaboratively.
- Manage month-end close with an outsourced staff to deliver accurate and timely financial statements compliance with GAAP.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure supplier’s payments and associated billbacks are processed accurately and in a timely manner. Resolve any potential discrepancies amicably.
- Partner with Sales, Brand Management, and Commercial Operation to identify opportunities for improvement and achieve the company’s objectives which include pricing strategies, profitability by customer/supplier, cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
- Assist in developing annual budgets and forecasts for various departments within the distribution business. Support FP&A team to monitor actual performance against budgeted targets, identify variances and provide analysis to management.
- Collaborate with operations to monitor inventory levels and ensure accuracy of inventory records. Perform periodic physical inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Implement effective internal control procedures to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud or errors, ensure compliance with policies/procedures/regulations.
- Leverage ERP’s effectively to streamline financial process/reporting.
- Supervise/train/coach outsourced staff and provide regular feedback and support.
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
- Understanding of intercompany transactions and eliminations
- Experience working in a distribution/wholesale industry preferred
- Solid knowledge of GAAP principles
- Proficient in using major ERP systems
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Exceptional communication skills
- 3 year of Managerial experience
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments
Salary : $145,000 - $165,000
