Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for greeting them warmly, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of service. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for hospitality.
Duties
- Greet guests as they arrive and provide a warm welcome to create a positive first impression.
- Manage the seating chart and ensure efficient table turnover while maintaining guest comfort.
- Answer phone calls promptly with proper phone etiquette, assisting with reservations and inquiries.
- Collaborate with the waitstaff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Assist in managing guest relations, addressing any concerns or special requests with professionalism.
- Utilize POS systems, including Toast POS, to manage reservations and track guest preferences when necessary.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Toast POS, is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
- A passion for helping others and providing outstanding service is essential.
