Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly manner, ensuring they feel welcome.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the Toast POS system.
- Provide recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation meets our standards.
- Manage cash register transactions efficiently, handling payments accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, utensils, and dining areas by bussing tables regularly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Adhere to food handling safety regulations and maintain hygiene standards.
- Assist with inventory management by reporting low stock levels of supplies.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a server role or related position in a grocery store or restaurant is preferred.
- Proficiency in cash register operations and basic math skills for accurate transaction handling.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy shifts.
- Knowledge of culinary practices and food handling safety is essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor to interact with guests positively.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
