Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Paraeducator to work directly with a certified special education teacher. The paraeducator will assist in implementing and overseeing educational programs for both regular and special needs students. The paraeducator will support students’ learning, behavior, and development in a structured, inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the certified special education teacher to support classroom instruction.
- Assist in implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) and behavior management plans.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special needs.
- Help adapt classroom materials and activities to meet diverse learning needs.
- Support students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills.
- Oversee classroom activities and ensure a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment.
- Assist with daily routines, transitions, and classroom management.
- Communicate with teachers, staff, and parents to provide progress updates.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field preferred).
- Experience working with children, especially special needs students, is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of child development and learning strategies.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to be patient, empathetic, and adaptable to different student needs.
- Experience with behavioral interventions and classroom support techniques is a plus.
- Must be able to pass a background check.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 8 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- After school
- Choose your own hours
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Work Location: In person
Salary : $13 - $16
