What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Construction Inspector position at KJ Consulting & Environmental Services, LLC?
- Inspection of major roadway and bridge projects; testing of soils, concrete, and bituminous paving
- Calculation of quantities for estimate payments
- Review of construction schedules, and follow PennDOT documentation procedures
- Oversee, inspect, monitor contractual field work, CDS/NextGen operations, schedules work and inspection phases
- Recommends changes to construction plans to meet field conditions and provide project cost saving
- Maintain project records, prepare work orders, and monthly estimates
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma. Five or more years experience in PennDOT construction inspection of highway or bridges preferred.
The following Certifications are preferred but not required for ENTRY LEVEL employees:
NICET transportation - Highway Construction Level I or higher
ACI Concrete Field Testing Certification
NECEPT Bituminous Pavement Field Technician certification
NECEPT Concrete Field Testing Technician certification
