This position requires a seasoned litigator with trial and insurance litigation defense experience.
Job Description
- Tort Law Expertise: 3 years of experience in tort law environment, preferably with medical malpractice background.
Candidates will work closely with their own team of attorneys to:
- Prepare and process records subpoenas with follow-up on photocopy services.
- Obtain HIPAA authorizations for confidential record release and process signed documents.
- E-file and serve pre-trial documents.
- Organize exhibits for trial binders (paper and PDF).
- Prepare pre-trial and trial documents.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Paralegal Certificate: Must be obtained.
- Trial Preparation Experience: Essential for the role.
- Attention to Detail: Critical skillset required.
- Software Proficiency: Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, and Westlaw drafting software expertise.
- Prolaw or Comparable Software Experience: Ability to manage calendars, documents, and databases efficiently.
- Exemplary Grammar and Spelling Skills: Fundamental requirement.
- Teamwork and Self-Management: Proven ability to work collaboratively and independently.
