This position works in collaboration with other members of our faculty. Three to five years of teaching experience in these grades is preferred.

Elementary Lead Teacher Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Elementary Education
- Experience with curriculum development and implementation
- Elementary (K-5) education classroom experience
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, nurturing attitude
- English required, bilingual preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Positive team player, resourceful, and proactive
- Flexible and creative
- Strong technology skills with the ability to integrate technology into the instructional program
- Familiarity with Reggio Emilia philosophy is a plus
- Background check required
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum with differentiated instruction to meet the learning styles of all students.
· Support the social/emotional growth of all students.
· Manage student behavior for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment.
· Assess student progress (through observation and documentation) towards learning objectives, goals, and/or expectations with the purpose of maintaining continuous and open communication with students, parents, and administration.
· Write personalized narratives, complete progress reports throughout the year, and hold conferences to provide feedback that effectively communicates the student’s progress.
· Maintain a cooperative educational team by maintaining parents informed and involved.
· Establish positive and professional relationships with students, parents, and staff.
· Demonstrate respect for diversity and incorporate cultural values and beliefs within the classroom community.
· Attend and participate in on-going professional development, logistics meetings, parent meetings, school events, grade level meetings, and other aspects of our school life.
· Support co-teacher in the above-mentioned skills to provide and maintain an effective and optimal learning environment.
