JOB SUMMARY
The Landscaping Assistant will support the facilities crew in maintaining and improving the campus grounds. This position offers hands-on experience in landscaping, including planting, pruning, mowing, and general upkeep of outdoor spaces. The student worker will be an essential part of ensuring a clean, safe, and visually appealing environment for students, faculty, and visitors.
This is a part-time position of no more than 20 hours per week. Preference will be given to students who qualify for Federal Work Study.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist with mowing lawns, trimming bushes, and maintaining flower beds.
- Plant and care for flowers, trees, and shrubs.
- Perform basic irrigation tasks, including watering plants and checking sprinkler systems.
- Clear debris from sidewalks, pathways, and landscaped areas.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers.
- Assist with seasonal tasks such as leaf removal, snow removal, and salting walkways.
- Follow all safety protocols while working with equipment and around the campus grounds.
