Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team. This position is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks involving building systems, equipment, and surrounding grounds. The ideal candidate will have experience in multiple trades, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general facility upkeep. This role also involves operating light and medium equipment and performing both corrective and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure our county facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming.
Key Responsibilities
Operate maintenance equipment (e.g., power saws, drills, tractors, bucket trucks).
Maintain and repair HVAC systems, including pumps, motors, belts, and filters.
Perform routine electrical and plumbing maintenance.
Maintain and clean cooling towers; monitor and apply required chemicals.
Paint interiors and exteriors of buildings; prepare and clean surfaces as needed.
Secure buildings by managing locking/unlocking and lighting systems.
Assist with office moves, furniture relocation, and picture hanging.
Perform minor roof and siding repairs.
Maintain landscaping and grounds, including mowing, snow removal, and applying ice melt.
Complete emergency repairs as needed.
Keep accurate records of maintenance and inspections.
Required Qualifications
Previous experience in building maintenance or related field.
Working knowledge of mechanical repair practices and safety standards.
Proficient in use of hand and power tools.
Oregon Driver’s License required.
Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs regularly, over 100 lbs occasionally.
Comfortable working in physically demanding and varying environmental conditions.

Must be able to work outdoors and in varied weather conditions.
