Klamath County is on the lookout for a Work Crew Leader to join the Community Corrections Department. As a supervisor of Corrections Work Crews, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and improving our community’s infrastructure. You'll oversee the upkeep and repair of county roads, parks, and facilities for various local, state, and federal agencies. Key Responsibilities
- Drive the crew, supplies, and equipment to job sites
- Keep vehicles, tools, and equipment organized and ready to go. Operate and teach safe handling of various equipment and tools and perform routine inspections and minor repairs
- Ensure work is done well and safely. Train the crew on project tasks, equipment use, and safety practices. Follow all safety rules and ensure the crew does the same
- Keep records, write reports, and bill agencies for completed work
- Purchase supplies and equipment within budget and estimate time and material costs for crew activities.
- Engage with agencies about work crew services, inspect job sites, and make sure projects are completed to their satisfaction
- Experience in supervision, maintenance, gardening, landscaping, and safe work zone traffic control
- Valid Oregon Driver's License
- CPR and First Aid Certification
