The Klamath Falls City School District is seeking the next principal of Pelican Elementary School. Pelican Elementary serves Kindergarten through 5th grade students with a population of about 250 students, 18 certified staff, and 19 classified staff.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leading and managing the school, focusing on key areas of school leadership; equity; instructional leadership; school culture, student support and management; parent engagement, teacher and staff quality.
- Excellent organization and record keeping.
- Developing and articulating a shared vision of success and serving as the lead learner of the school.
- Evaluating and developing effective organizational procedures and practices.
- Engaging the school community in collaborative processes toward a vision of excellence.
- Managing resources, budgeting and staffing.
- Effectively evaluating, supervising, coaching, and, as needed, disciplining staff.
- Analyzing problems, determining alternative solutions, and making appropriate and effective decisions.
- Ensuring that teachers are working effectively as individuals and collaboratively in professional learning communities, departments, and grade-level teams.
- Ensuring all systems and programs are implemented effectively, to achieve the goals and vision of the district.
- Overseeing the teaching and learning program, including scheduling and class assignments, curriculum, lesson planning, professional development, assessment and accountability.

Experience:
- At least five (5) years of successful teaching experience in a K-12 public school setting
- Evidence of successful leadership experience
Education:
Masters Degree in Education or a closely related field.
Licensure:
Possess a valid Oregon TSPC Administrative License authorizing service as an elementary school principal.
Compensation:
Salary is yet to be determined for the 2025-2026 school year. 2024-2025 salary range $117,759.90-$136,635.68 dependent on experience. A complete benefits package is offered to employees.
Work Year:
230 day work year beginning July 1, 2025
