KHP is dedicated to providing high-quality, cost-effective primary care services to our community. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Family Medicine Physician to join our team and help meet the diverse health and social needs of our patients.
Position Summary: Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer, the Family Medicine Physician will deliver comprehensive family practice services in our medical clinic. The Physician will perform complete patient examinations, screen for health maintenance needs, and document clinical observations in accordance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will embody KHP’s mission by providing respectful and effective patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including preventive care, primary diagnosis, treatment, and inpatient care when appropriate.
- Conduct comprehensive patient examinations and health screenings.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in medical records as per clinic protocols.
- Serve as a preceptor to providers in training as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement activities.
- Provide call coverage and inpatient care per contractual obligations.
- Adhere to OSHA regulations and clinic safety standards.
- Ensure assessments and referrals comply with all regulatory and KHP policies.
Qualifications:
- Board certified or eligible in family medicine.
- Graduation from an accredited school of medicine.
- At least three (3) years of experience in a primary healthcare environment, preferably in medically underserved communities and community health center settings.
- Current, valid license to practice medicine in the State of Oregon, including DEA license and CPR certification.
- Relevant knowledge of health center licensing and operations, especially within a FQHC environment.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
- Sensitivity to the needs of a culturally diverse patient and employee population.
- Willingness and ability to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
