Are you a dedicated and compassionate Janitorial Specialist looking to make a difference in patient care? We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled individual to join our dynamic healthcare team!
The Janitorial Specialist is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary working environment for all staff, patients, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Complies with State and Federal laws on cleaning, sanitation, and safety.
- Reports safety problems and needed repairs to the Maintenance Generalist.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
- Clean, mop, and vacuum floors.
- Empty trash.
- Clean and polish fixtures.
- Remove recycling materials.
- Dust.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of methods, materials, equipment, and techniques used in custodial activities.
- Basic knowledge of State and Federal laws on cleaning, sanitation, and safety.
- Ability to maintain the security of property and building.
- Ability to safely perform essential duties as above.
- Ability to establish priorities and set goals.
- High School diploma / G.E.D
- Ability to read and write in English
- Carry up to 50 pounds of garbage and lift up to 6 feet in the air to put in dumpster.
- Lift, hold, push and pull filled mop bucket (55 pounds).
- Push and pull 30 pound vacuum for an extended period of time. Continuously for up to 2 hours at a time.
- Stand, bend at waist, bend at knee, stoop, twist at waist, reach, pull and push regularly for up to 2-3 hours at a time. A total of 5.5 hours with a 15 minute break per shift.
