Position Summary:
This position’s primary responsibility will be to assist participants via phone calls, e-mails or walk-ins for specific HomePath programs, in addition to providing program office support to the HomePath Department staff. The KHA HomePath Support Specialist will perform a variety of office tasks, including data entry, file maintenance, returning phone calls, client support, and other general office duties.
Position Duties and Responsibilities, HomePath Services:
- Learn, understand, and assist with all HomePath services, to include:
- Financial Coaching
- First Time Home Buyer
- Foreclosure Intervention
- Individual Development Account (IDA)
- Various Workshops
- Financial Fitness
- Home Buyer
- Ready to Rent
- Review documents in accordance with program guidelines. Input accurate information in a timely manner into multiple databases to comply with various funding sources for programs administered by Klamath Housing Authority, HomePath Services
- Answer phones in a timely manner, contact clients as needed for various issues or program updates
- Complete client files and data entry in an accurate and timely manner, ensuring confidentiality
- Coordinate with other agency resources to provide both internal and external referrals for programs
- Act as an agency representative through participation in workshops and classes. Assemble and maintain curriculum materials for all HomePath workshops
- Process intake packets for HomePath services. Review for completeness, assist clients as needed
- Review documents in accordance with program guidelines. Input accurate information in a timely manner into Counselor Max and IDA client management databases as necessary to comply with various funding sources for programs administered by the HomePath department
Position Requirements:
- The candidate chosen for this position must be bi-lingual
- Excellent record keeping, organizational, oral, and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in software programs such as Microsoft Office products and web-based applications
- Valid Oregon driver’s license
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with clients and co-workers, sustain interdepartmental confidentiality
Physical Demand Requirements:
Physical demand refers to manual effort to include lifting, moving, pulling, pushing, carrying, stooping, sitting and standing.
- Lift or carry up to 20 lbs. ie. Class curriculum and supplies
- Operate a 10-key calculator and PC keyboard, employ repetitive motion of hands and wrists
- May be asked to drive to rural areas on occasion
Mental, Visual, and Audible Requirements:
- Speak in English and Spanish, with clarity and professionalism
- Clearly and concisely communicate through e-mail or written correspondence
- Continuous mental and/or visual attention. Tasks are either repetitive or diversified requiring constant alertness to monitor the production process and identify best practices.
- Maintain a professional attitude and respect the confidentiality of sensitive information
- Reasonable knowledge of community and social – economic resources available to low-income clients
- Ability to remain calm, objective and understanding in situations with a client
