Summary:  Work with a dynamic team in creating a patient friendly atmosphere to provide the best quality service to our patients.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.  

 

  • The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for operating the medical imaging equipment used to produce images of patients’ bodies.
  • Administer radiological examinations in accordance with department policies and procedures and accepted clinical standards
  • Evaluate film quality for technique, positioning and protocol compliance and consistently makes the necessary adjustments to achieve quality film results
  • Track and maintain all radiology exam reports received from consulting radiologists, ensuring that reports are reviewed by treating physician and properly filed
  • Prepare films for medical records request by authorized external facilities or patient and maintain tracking log of films to be returned.

  • Dependability – Follows instructions, responds to physician & supervisor’s direction; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.
  • Safety and Security – Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.                     

 

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Candidate must pass Urine Analysis and criminal background check.

Education/Experience:

  • Graduate of Certified Radiologic technology School or Program
  • Licensed in Radiography by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging and National registration in Radiography (AART) Required
  • Basic Life Support for the HealthCare Provider (BLS)
  • 1-2 years Orthopedic Radiography

 

Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to patients, physicians, manager of department, etc.

 

Reasoning Ability: 

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

 

Computer Skills: 

Knowledge of modern office equipment, systems and procedures, including computer skills and type efficiently; an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Internet software; Order processing systems; Knowledge of medical software is a plus.
