We are looking for a high energy, motivated, skilled, detail-oriented accountant to join our team and help manage key financial functions that will drive the continued success and efficiency of our operations.
Position Overview:
The Accountant will be responsible for managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and employee payroll, while ensuring accurate financial records and reports are maintained. This position requires a strong understanding of QuickBooks Online, ADP for payroll management, and general accounting principles. If you are a motivated, organized, and reliable professional with a passion for numbers, we’d love to hear from you! Experience in accounting in a construction atmosphere is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Receivable: Manage incoming payments, track outstanding invoices, and ensure timely collections.
- Accounts Payable: Process and track payments to vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
- QuickBooks Online: Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Online, including reconciliations, reporting, and adjustments.
- Payroll Management: Oversee employee hours through ADP, process payroll, and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- General Accounting: Handle various accounting tasks such as journal entries, bank reconciliations, and expense management.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax, legal, and regulatory requirements related to business finances.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping, ideally within a small business setting.
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online and ADP for payroll.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles and best practices.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Optional: Certification, e.g., QuickBooks ProAdvisor, CPA, or similar
- Experience in accounting for a construction company is a plus.
