Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled 2nd Shift Laser Operator to join our team. This role involves operating and maintaining laser cutting machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience with laser cutting equipment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and set up laser cutting machines (e.g., CO2, fiber lasers) to cut and fabricate metal parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production drawings.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain precision and efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laser equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and notify maintenance personnel for major repairs.
• Handle raw materials and finished parts safely, following workplace safety guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of production output and machine performance.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure production goals are met.

Requirements:

• Previous experience operating laser cutting machines (preferred but not required; training may be available).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic computer skills for machine programming and data entry.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift hours (typically late afternoon to late night).
• Knowledge of safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with CNC machines or metal fabrication.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for laser cutting operations.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.

Work Schedule:

• 2nd shift hours (Exact times vary by company, e.g., 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM or 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM).
• Overtime may be required based on production demands.
