Job Overview : We are seeking a motivated and experienced Agronomy Operations Manager to oversee operations, drive sales growth, manage inventory, and ensure overall facility performance. In this leadership role, you will support the Regional Manager, supervise personnel, and ensure the efficient management of all aspects of the location. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of agronomy, financial management experience, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities :
- Personnel Management : Assist in hiring, coaching, training, and performance management of location staff. Assign key tasks and ensure personnel capabilities are developed to meet operational goals.
- Sales Growth Support : Work closely with the Regional Manager to drive sales, including assigning accounts to salespeople, managing key accounts, and monitoring customer satisfaction through regular communication. Identify potential sales prospects and collaborate with Sales Specialists to grow the business.
- Operations Supervision : Oversee the mixing, loading, and dispatch processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Inventory Management : Forecast product needs, anticipate inventory requirements, and purchase products through approved suppliers to maintain adequate stock levels and meet customer demand.
- Financial Management : Manage location finances, including budgeting for sales and expenses, overseeing billing, accounts receivables and payables, and managing prepayments.
- Asset Management : Supervise routine maintenance of the facility and equipment, develop equipment replacement plans, and ensure driver equipment inspections are conducted regularly.
- Crop Protection & Fertility Recommendations : Provide expert recommendations on crop protection and fertility, utilizing tools such as DataOnTouch for farm and field plans, mapping, and record keeping.
- Record- keeping : Maintain accurate internal records, including financial documents, customer production records, and other necessary paperwork.
- Risk Management : Ensure compliance with regulations, oversee safety and emergency response training, and conduct regular site inspections to manage and mitigate risks.
- Strategic Planning : Develop both short- and long-term plans to achieve location goals and drive operational efficiency.
