Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Farm Equipment Operator to join our team in Northwest Iowa. In this role, you will be responsible for operating spreaders, sprayers, and floaters while applying crop nutrients and crop protection products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with dry, liquid, and anhydrous ammonia applications. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain spreaders, sprayers, and floaters for the application of crop nutrients and crop protection products (dry, liquid, anhydrous ammonia).
- Ensure the accurate and timely application of all crop nutrients and protection products to maximize yield potential and meet customer specifications.
- Safely transport and apply agricultural chemicals in compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines.
- Monitor equipment performance and conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functionality.
- Maintain detailed records of product applications, equipment use, and related activities.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operations and high-quality service for customers.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional agricultural-related training or certifications are a plus.
- Ability to operate agricultural equipment, including spreaders, sprayers, and floaters.
- Knowledge of crop nutrients, crop protection products, and proper application methods for dry, liquid, and anhydrous ammonia.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
- Ability to work long hours, including overtime, during peak seasons.
